The union had planned to make a speech day in a Chinese theatre on Fender Street in order to recruit more members and sympathizers. The union had also set up a branch office at 105 Pender Street.2. Wong Ghee Wai delegate of the B.C. loggers Union made an announcement to encourage Chinese workers to join the Union to fight against inequality and capitalistic harrassment. Wong asserted that many Japanese workers had joined the Union and it was time for the Chinese to get united. Finally Wong guaranteed that the Union would place the workers back on their original job with better pay. However, they must cooperate in not going back to work during the periodof general strike.3.
