A mass community meeting was hid and CKT was elected to raise funds, using the Chinese Times Office as the Fund raising bureau, and the CKT Association as meeting and offices. Initially CKT donated all the deposit of $300 in the bank, and then mortgaged the associational properties for $84,000. All the money was given to Dr. Sun who had remitted back to Wong Hing and Chiu Sing in China for the revolutionary fund on March 29 in Canton.
