October 24. 1922 (Tuesday)P.3 (1) The English newspaper gave a report on the enormous number of Asianmerchants so as to arouse the Canadians to the impending danger ofcomplete exploitation by the Asians. (2) The city council of Burnaby held a meeting on October 23 and decided not to issue commercial licenses to the Asians because of the requests of the people. It was reported that so far there were about 4 Asian owned shops in Burnaby.(3) The 5 Chinese students who continued to go to school despite the strike by other Chinese students, had finally quit going to school also. The reason for quitting school was not known
