Minor disputes might exist among a few clan associations, however, it was not so severe as tong wars which prevailed in the U.S. The rumor of the existence of tong war could be based on 2 facts: a. On Jan. 6, a few executives reported to the police that their meeting had been disturbed by an unknown Chinese who tried to harm the executives.b. A Chinese waitress was charged for selling liquor.
