AUGUST 8 (FRIDAY) P.3 J) 2 Chinese were arrested for owning gambling joints in Windsor Hotel and 103 E.Pender Street. A number of Chinese were arrested for gambling. P.3 2) had advocated for the setting up of(sort of alabour union). The aim of which was to exchange ideas and knowledgeand promote industries as well as to maintain mutual protection. Though there were not too manyChinese there, a considerable amount of money was raised.
