Jan. 15 - Fund Raising Campaign for Voluntary Anti-Japanese Army in N.E. China. The Chinese in Vancouver started an office for raising funds to buy planes for the Anti-Japanese Voluntary Army in NE China. It was March, 1932. The office is located on 13 E. Pender St. The money raised is not enough to buy planes; a meeting held decided to use the money to buy other military supplies. The money totalled $600. Furthermore, it was difficult to locate the Voluntary Army. So the money sits in a bank. Now since in Sue Yuen ( ), the national army is fighting the Japanese, so, it is decided to send the money to Nanking government to buy supplies for the resisting army in Sue Yuen.
