August 26 3 1) The CBA (Van.) held the 1st executive meeting on August 24. 4 issues were dis- cussed: (a) to collect exit fees for hospital expenses; (b) to inspect the hospital; (c) to invite Ambassador Wong for a tea party; (d) to divide the members at large to assist the board of directors and board of advisors. There should be a clear cut line between the 2 administrative boards so a constitutuion was needed. and were elected to draw up the constitituion.3 2) The Hoysun Association (Van.) announced on August 26 that 10 executives wereelected on August 25. They would be elected for posts on September 1st. 3) Ambassador Yeung announced on August 17 that since August 1st, the inspection of nationalities had started. There were quite a few Chinese in Winnipeg being arrested by the army for not aarrying the proper identification. They were evenutally released after Ambassador Yeung negotiated with the army force. He thus hoped that the Chinese residents would obey the law and carry proper identification
