February I6P.2-3 1) , were reps, from China attending the InternationalLabourer's Assoc. meeting; while in Van. they attended Chinese speech making day. Chinese Consul General in Van., Consul and 2 reps, were invited speak. When was asked to speak, the audience became restless. was the founder of the Canton tram-line, and his activities were supported and protected by foreigners. He even sold tram-line to the Hong Kong Government. His actions were restented by the Cantonese. He was condemned by all. Recently he tookrefuge in Canada and the States, thus he was resented and rejected by them"audience. It was reported that the situation in the hall was chaotic and manyleft. Many regarded his as a traitor, too.P.3 2) Hoysun Assoc (Van.) - a 2nd speech day on Feb. 15 in Sing Ping Theatre by Hoysun Assoc. Over 1000 participants. The Chairman was .
