March 19. Wed.United P.3 1. A special school was set up by the/B.C. Shingle Workers Associationto teach the returning soldiers sawmill techniques. There were already 10 . students enrolling in the school. The teacher asserted that when they graduated, they could replace the Chinese workers.A few factories which were closed down due to the strike by the Chinese workers were re-opened for business. However, there was only 1/2 the workers returning to work.2. and were the representativesfrom the headquarter to raise funds. They were in Kelowna on March 14. They helped establish a C.K.T. in Kelowna and elected the temporary executives. 14 new members were admitted immediately
