November 16P.2 1) CKT Cumbeland - thanked those who offered worship fees. The readingroom also thanked those who offered the maintenance fee.2) Kuomingtang Nelson - an old Chinese gave a confession stating that he was wrong to join Kuomingtang in 1916.He forsook CKT and served Kuomingtang for 7 years, however when he was ill, it was CKT members who helped him and subsidized his ship fare to China, the Kuomingtang members did not help or sympathize with him.P.3 3) A member thanked the locality members for donating funeral funds for his dead brother.4) Fund Rai sing agent for Kwong Dong Salvation - opera fperformance was put on to raise funds. All admission was optional. Total fund raised was over $1000.5) CKT St. Catherine: welcomed , who visited the district with Wong, Ng, and Lim. A speech day was held when a few hundred dollars were raised for 5-ancestor temple. There ware quite a lot of attendants at the meeting, nany from -neighbouring places. Now the association kept more than $1000 associational money which would be used for buying a building in the future.6) Discrimination Toronto: 6 years ago there was a bill to prevent Chinese from employing female whites. However due to the constant protest, bill was suspended. Unfortunately, until Oct. 1920, the bill was activated whereby no Chinese were allowed to employ white females after December. Ambasse "*" Young was immediately asked to visit Toronto to discuss the case. On no.v 7, he discuss the case with the Chinese organizations/merchants who said that such regulations would endanger the Chinese commercial development
