Therewould be a Chinese delegation arriving in Van. from China to attend the competition. 2) It was reported in an English paper that many Chinese cooks were put out of work. Originally, their monthly salaries were $80-90, but now, one could hire a good cook for only $50.P. 3 3) CKT Hammond - the Realty promoters Low and Wong of the H.Q. were here.4) A Chinese, Mr. Chan, who lived in Victoria, and had to get back to Chinatown,was charged by a few merchants with collecting money by shipping ammunition back to China. The man protested that he himself had also been cheated by a Mr. Cheng in August, 1920, who asked him for $90 to buy ammunition for China
