July 27. 1922 (Thursday) P.3 (1) Owing to the frequent stealing of vegetables from the Chinese hawkers.The Chinese Vegetable Hawkers' Association sent a letter to AmbassadorLim so that action could be taken to maintain order. The associationstressed that all howkers had to pay $60 annual license fee, thus theywere also entitled to protection by the police. P.3 (2) An announcement was made by the C.B.A. of Vancouver on July 26 to requestother Chinese associations to send one or two representatives to theC.B.A. to discuss the commercial agreement and the immigration law betweenChina and Canada
