January 30th, 1923, Tuesday P.3News from Victoria: Ambassador Chau talked of the school segregation question.He said that he had already reported the case to the Chinese government. Thepeople there were greatly aroused by such unjust treatment imposed upon theoverseas Chinese. They asserted that they would surely boycott Canadian goodsif no action was taken to check the school segregation policy. Ambassador Chauassured the overseas Chinese that he would talk with the Canadian government atOttawa and if his protest was disregarded, he would let the Chinese governmentintervene
