February 19P3 1) The CBA of Vancouver urged various locality associations to send in thenames of the candidates for the nomination of the executives not later than February 23. A final election was to be held on February 24th.P3 2) News from Ottawa. Ambassador Chaj* had tried to protest against the schoolsegregation policy in Ottawa. He talked to about the unjusttreatment faced by the Chinese students. He was given a positive reply by since the cabinet was willing to intervene into the case.Ambassador Chan had also written to the mayor of Victoria, requesting him to take action against the school segregation policy. He suggested that a separate class could be set up for teaching those with a poor standard of English instead of completely separating them from the whites
