CBAhad decided to hire a lawyer to appeal to the provincial government resuch discriminative proposal. P3 3) A Chinese drug criminal was fined $300 and 9 months imprisonment after whichhe was to be deported.4) Chee Kung Tong Kamloops. A meeting on Nov. 26 welcomingwho stopped by Kamloops. He gave a talk on what had happened in the 3rd general convention. After his talk, there was an election for executives of H.Q. in Victoria. was elected president, but requestedcancellation since he had already announced that he was unable. As a result the association elected another member, as candidate.5) News from Victoria. (MP from B.C. who proposed forbidding the Chinese from employing white and Indian girls in restaurants and stores,) asserted that she would stick to her belief and would try her best go bring the proposal into effect. She emphasized that it was her duty to protect the rights of whites.6) A Chinese gambling club in Chinatown was searched by police and 87 Chinese arrested for gambling. About $5250 bail was collected.7) Chee Kung Tong Vancouver. An announcement that & would travel to many places to recruit shareholders for association, would also read out the constitution that was drawn in the 3rd general convention. They would set off to Nanaimo and Cumberland on Dec. 1. The cooperation of all memebers was needed,8) Dart Coon Club Victoria. The president , seeing that he had been elected as candidate for presidential post of Chee Kung Tong Victoria, requested to have his name cancelled since he could not possibly do the job for 2 associations at the same time.9) Winnipeg: Nmes of executives for 1924: President: ; Vice10) (Vancouver H.Q.)
