December 7P3 1) Chee Kung Tong Vancouver. A report on the funeral service of its former executive . More than 100 people attended his funeral.had also sent 4 representatives to the funeral.2) The provincial patty ( ) held a meeting to discuss the E. Asianquestion. There was a proposal of forbiddingthe E. Asians to buy or rent lands and checking the Chinese merchants to do business in B.C. One rep- resentative stressed that the exclusion of the E. Asians must be P3 2) absolute in order to safeguard the rights of the Canadians. The proposals would be presented to the government for consideration.3) News from Victoria. The provincial parliament got a letter of protest against the prohibition of the Chinese from employing white and Indian girls in Dec. 5. The letter was sent by CBA (Van. and Vic.),and Chinese Businessmen's Association. It was about how the proposal might affect the living conditions of the Chinese.MP recently receivd a lot of comment from places over B.C.re her proposal.4) Chee Kung Tong (Cumberland). A meeting was held on Dec. 6 to welcome& who gave a talk on their mission. Peoplewere very enthusiastic in buying bonds and shares. $500 shares and $500 bonds were collected.5) Dart Coon Club Cumberland. An announcement that a second anniversary cele- bration would be held on Dec. 16th.6) The bureau in Vancouver for raising funds to support the Confucian Assoc. in Hong Kong. Names of donors to the Confucian Assoc. were released.7) Chee Kung Tong Vancouver thanked all branches of Chee Kung Tong and Dart Coon Club in helping to prepare the funeral of its executive,8) Chee Kung Tong's Reading Room Victoria. Names of donors.9) Chee Kung Tong (St. Catharines) thanked those who had donated money and attended its 5th anniversary celebration on Nov. 11
