Due to the 5th anniversary celebration of Dart Coon, many organizations of CKT AND Dart Coon Club from various placescame to Vancouver, CKT Van. made use of the opportunity by holding a meeting for all representatives to discuss raising funds for its realty development. It was decided that Dart Coon Club should be responsible for recruiting $10,000 worth of shares and the representatives should cooperate by buying some shares. More than $1000 was collected.3) CBA Vancouver, had appointed Mrs. Yip Kwong ( ) to inspect the condition of the Chinese patients in the public hospital. Seeing that the patients were quite lonely and bored, Mrs. Yip raised funds to buy a book shelf for them. , , , , and donated books. The Chinese were encouraged to donate books to provide more reading for the patients.4) Yan Ping Tung Fook Tong Vancouver held a third anniversary celebration on Dec. 25. Speeches were made by the executives.5) 3 Chinese were sentenced to 6 months imprisonment due to possession of narcotics. They were to be deported aftet their term in jail.6) CBA Vancouver. Only a few merchants attended the meeting held on Dec. 24to discuss the new income tax rule. The' meeting had to be changed to informal conversation. It was finally decided that , ,, , & should go to the ChineseConsulate on Dec. 26 to discuss the issue with Consul General Lim.7) A Chinese was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment for possession of opium onboard the Russian Queen.
